The Process

The Design Stage

Whether you already have detailed plans drawn up, or you have just an idea, we would be very pleased to discuss your requirements with you. If you have detailed plans we will provide you with a free no obligation quotation. If not then we are able to provide you with a design package that includes plans, structural calculations and submissions to the local authority for Planning / Building Regulation approval. Or if you prefer we can recommend independent professional consultants who can provide this service for you.
Once you are fully satisfied with the estimate and we have discussed exactly what is and isn’t included, we will then agree a commencement date on site that suits both parties.

Construction

If our estimate is accepted we will arrange a pre commencement meeting to discuss and agree our site set up and how the works are to progress. Our focus is always on the customer and minimising the disruption and disturbance. Positions of site equipment, skips, scaffolding etc are all agreed prior to commencement.

We can advise on any particular types of building contract, and also on any requirements under the party wall act, to ensure everything is agreed before works commence.

As work progresses we will arrange regular meetings with you to agree any alterations, updates on programme of works, and also to give you plenty of time to provide any information that we may need at a particular stage in the project. For example your choices on bathrooms, kitchens, flooring etc. Over the years we have gained very strong relationships with companies that specialise in such items and we would be very happy to put you in contact with professionals that can assist you with your decisions. All of this is done to ensure these choices can be made and incorporated within the works at the right time and within the set budget.

We provide regular updates on costs and on our projected final account. Our estimates are all given on a fixed price basis, so there won’t be any changes to our price. However sometimes provisional allowances will be made or you may request some additional works. We will provide costs for these before they proceed, and will update the final projection, to enable you to budget properly for the works that are being done.

At completion stage we will carry out a thorough final inspection, complete any snagging items, and arrange for a full clean to be carried out.
